Intellectual Property & Patent Notice
with Peer Pallets

PEER Pallets Inc. is built on original engineering, design, and brand work. We invest significant time, money, and expertise into developing our pallet system and supporting technology. This page explains the intellectual property behind PEER Pallets and the protections that apply when you visit our website, see our product, or discuss a partnership with us.

Patent Pending Status

The PEER Pallets product — the pallet, its integrated reusable wrapping mechanism, and related features — is the subject of a patent application. "Patent pending" means a patent application has been filed with the appropriate patent office, and the application is under examination. It does not yet confer the full rights of a granted patent, but it does provide important protections:
•      Priority date. Our application establishes the date from which our rights are measured. Anyone who files a similar application after ours is evaluated against our earlier filing.
•      Public notice. By marking our product and materials "patent pending", we give formal notice to the public that a patent application exists. Anyone who chooses to copy the invention does so at their own risk.
•      Potential retroactive damages. In many jurisdictions, once a patent is granted, the holder may be able to seek damages for use that occurred after the application was published.
The specific scope of our patent protection is defined by the claims in our patent application and, ultimately, by the claims in any granted patent. For questions about patent coverage, please contact us directly.

What is Protected

Our intellectual property includes, but is not limited to:
•      The PEER Pallets product design, including the structure of the pallet, the integrated reusable wrapping system, the housing for the wrap, and the way these components work together.
•      The PEER Pallets brand, including the company name, the PEER Pallets name, the PEER acronym (Plastic, Economical, Environmental, Reusable), the logo, taglines, and related visual identity. These are used as trademarks of PEER Pallets Inc.
•      Website content, including text, graphics, diagrams, photographs, videos, and layout, which are protected by copyright.
•      Confidential information, including prototypes, engineering drawings, supplier relationships, pricing, financial models, and any information shared under a non-disclosure agreement.

What you may NOT do

Without our prior written permission, you may not:
•      Copy, reproduce, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the PEER Pallets product or any of its components.
•      Manufacture, offer to sell, sell, import, or use the PEER Pallets invention or anything materially similar to it.
•      Use the PEER Pallets name, logo, or any confusingly similar mark in your own products, marketing, or business.
•      Copy or republish substantial portions of this website, photographs, diagrams, or other materials.
•      Share confidential information you received from us with any third party, or use it for any purpose other than the one we agreed to.

Demonstractions, Pilots, and Shared Materials

We are glad to speak with potential customers, partners, investors, and suppliers. When we share detailed technical information, demo units, prototypes, drawings, or financials, we typically do so under a non-disclosure agreement. Please treat everything you see, hear, or receive from us as confidential unless we clearly tell you otherwise, and please ask before taking photos or video of our prototypes.

Respect for other people's rights

PEER Pallets respects the intellectual property of others and expects the same in return. Before developing our system, we commissioned a formal patent search and reviewed the landscape with experienced patent counsel. If you believe any content on our website infringes your rights, please contact us so we can investigate and respond.

Our Legal Counsel

PEER Pallets is advised on intellectual property matters by experienced Canadian patent and trademark counsel, including Stemp and Associates and Gowling WLG. We take protection of our invention seriously and will work with counsel to enforce our rights where appropriate.

No Licence Granted

Nothing on this website or in any PEER Pallets material grants you, by implication or otherwise, any licence or right to use any of our patents, patent applications, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, or other intellectual property. Any use of our intellectual property requires a written agreement signed by an authorized representative of PEER Pallets Inc.

If you have questions about our intellectual property, would like to discuss a licensing or partnership opportunity, or want to report what you believe to be a misuse of PEER Pallets intellectual property, please contact:
